Satisfied with DigitalOcean

I've been using DigitalOcean since November 2013 to host my rarmknecht.com presence, and I couldn't be happier.

For one thing, I just don't have to worry about the service. It has remained up and functional despite my frequent tinkering with the system. The current uptime is over 370 days.

The other real benefit to the platform that I've enjoyed was the ability to launch an Arch based distro. Unfortunately, they have stopped offering that option for new droplets, but there is a neat hack to still get Arch up and running. In the reasoning DigitalOcean provided, Arch was less than 1% of the userbase, but greater than 1% of the support tickets. I've personally seen root access with a full virtual system as my own to support. Other than not booting, I don't feel that DigitalOcean should be responsible for helping with the system.

If you're considering a cost effective and reliable platform, at $5/month, I really couldn't be happier. Check them out.
